Manual Muscle Therapy
This is a special therapy for muscular, tendon, and ligamentous injuries, along with nerve entrapments. This also guides the doctor in the diagnosis of the condition or injury that has taken place. This technique is used on every single patient to maximize the results of the treatment. Some conditions this may help: jaw pain after punches, back and neck pains, headaches, carpal tunnel, increasing power of leg kicks, improving shoulder range of motion for more effective punches, etc.
This taping technique is used to decrease swelling, stabilize an area, inhibit muscular contraction, and activate muscular contraction, based on the tension and direction of the tape. This is not like many of the other tapes that have been advertised, and does not use a "cookie cutter" approach when being applied. In fact, if tape incorrectly, this can cause more injury and pain to the areas being address. Some conditions it may help: Fibromyalgia, meniscus injuries, shoulder pains, sprained ankles, carpal tunnel, rib pain, IT Band syndrome, activation of muscles to improve leg kicks, foot pain, etc.
The chiropractic adjustment is used to increase muscular flexibility, increase joint mobility, and improve health function. The areas that can be adjusted are: neck, back, hips, knees, ankles, feet, toes, wrists, fingers, shoulders, elbows, jaw, cranial sutures, etc. If it is a joint, it can be addressed with a chiropractic technique.
Injury Prevention Rehabilitation Exercises
This is not the typical conditioning exercises you and your strength coach have decided on. We use exercises to increase core stability for more powerful kicks, increase shoulder endurance for longer rounds without fatigue, exercises specific to the prevention of injuries you already have, etc. We come up with a plan to implement into your current fitness regiment.
